Spring Training is an exciting time in Fort Myers when the Boston Red Sox hit the field to get ready for the regular season. The 2004 World Series Champions play in the City of Palms Park which was built in 1992. They came here after leaving Winter Haven where they had played for a number of years.

At the Boston Red Sox Spring Training Camp, practice begins every day at 9 am and goes until 1 pm. The fans are most welcome to come and watch the players and coaches as they prepare for the regular season. Just be aware that parking is limited so either come really early or take the shuttle bus from City of Palms Park for $2 per person.

The team has a lease to train here through 2019. They will move to a new park in Lee County when it is completed sometime in 2012. Since Fort Myers is located within Lee County they will still be in Fort Myers.
